When SecurU arrived at this large distribution center in Mississauga to review the requirements for the intercom upgrade; the dispatch office could not successfully hear a driver at the inbound shipping gate with the current Aiphone door station due to the engine noise that was over powering the communication between the truck driver and the dispatcher when the transport truck was running. In addition to the communication issue the existing intercom was damaged to to drivers hitting the intercom with their extended mirrors.
Our solution included a new DoorKing Telephone Entry Intercom with a handset and a custom fabricated enclosure to protect the intercom unit from damage, weather and wind noise when a driver entered the inbound gate.
