Project Overview: Swing Gate with LiftMaster EL25 Telephone Entry System

As we continue to serve our wonderful clients in Milton, Georgetown, Oakville, and Burlington, we have worked on several cool projects that we wish to share with our readers. Today’s post overviews a residential site in Milton, ON, involving the installation of a swing gate with a LiftMaster EL25 Telephone Entry System for our client’s residence. The system allows some cool features which we will discuss in detail further in the post.

Project Overview: Swing Gate with LiftMaster EL25 Telephone Entry System

Our SecurU installation team of Josh Wagemann and Ryan Pemberton have recently commissioned a LiftMaster EL25 Telephone Entry System that features call waiting, recessed & lighted keypad, distinctive ringing that operates with or without an active phone line, automatic gate/door unlock schedule and transaction monitoring.

How The Swing Gate Works with Telephone Entry

With the LiftMaster EL25 Telephone Entry solution, the gates can remain closed at all times to provide 24/7 protection to the resident. When a visitor arrives at the swing gate they simply press the illuminated call button that will ring the homeowner on the phone inside the residence. The homeowner, then, can choose to open the gate, if desired, remotely without the need to come outside or to walk over some control panel.

The Details of the Swing Gate System

The image above shows the installation of the LiftMaster LA500PKGU Residential or Light Commercial Swing Gate Actuator with Control Unit, MyQ and LMRRU Retro Reflective Monitored Entrapment Protection (Photo Eye) device. This beautiful gate has a LiftMaster G828LM Internet Gateway that is connected with Veracity Longspan Injectors back to the residence which will enable the homeowner to open or close the swing gate remotely with a smartphone through the LiftMaster App or with the alarm.com App when a SecurU Smarthome Solution has been installed.

Above is the outbound image of the LiftMaster Swing Gate actuators with our technician Ryan calling the technician inside the residence to test the operation of the residential gates with the LiftMaster telephone entry system. As you can see, when a visitor arrives, they will be required to call the residence in order to get access the premises. In this case, the resident has the ability to remotely confirm the visitor and allow them access through their smart phone app.

Furthermore, the homeowner will have three options to open the gate when exiting the house:

1. Drive over the exit loop and the swing gate will open,

2. Press the LiftMaster G811LM Encrypted Single-Button Remote Control from their vehicle or

3. Open the App and release the gate.
