As a Senior Technician, you’ll be our clients’ go-to resource for all things related to their security systems throughout consultation, installation and training. You’ll also have an opportunity to use your expertise to mentor Junior Technicians and lean into your wealth of knowledge to guide how SecurU heads into the future.

The Day to Day:
- Learn the ins and outs of our residential security systems and the fundamentals of our technology and programs.
- Provide clients with guidance on their system, including product recommendations and managing all set up.
- Technicians work closely with clients to providing training and answering any questions they may have about their new systems.
- Mentor Junior Technicians and use your on-the-ground experience to guide how SecurU approaches our work.
What You Bring:
- Prior experience as an Installer/Technician required. If you can confidently install a system from start to finish, including software programming, then the Senior Technician role is for you.
- You’re comfortable installing, troubleshooting and repairing CCTVs, burglar alarms, access controls and similar systems.
- You have the basics of network cabling covered.
- You can work face-to-face with clients and can stay calm under pressure.
- You’re organized and tidy – you can stick to a schedule, keep clients in the loop on any changes, and would never dream of leaving their home or business in a mess before you leave.
- You can handle the mobility that comes with the role, including the ability to lift equipment/tools up to 20 lbs and climbing ladders/scaffolding.
- You prioritize keeping your skills sharp through courses and following the latest in industry news.
The Final Details:
- Hourly rate for Senior Technicians: $38-$40
- All team members are required to have a valid Ontario driver’s license.
- Police check is required.
- Training will be provided for tools such as Kantech, ADC & DSC PowerSeries.
